technology in the classroom

One of the most important things for students of this generation to learn is what new products we have in technology. As I grew up, technology continued to increase and become more of a powerful source in our world and for some students, they got left behind. Being ble to learn the technology little at a time from a small age has made it possible for me to continue in my learning without slowing down. Once I got old enough to apply to college you no longer did things by mail, everything was through e-mail. I luckily had already learned the things I needed to know throughout all of school to apply without any trouble and do it quite fast. As my parents tried to see what I had done and look through some of my applications, they were so lost. They had no idea what to do or how to get to certain areas of my application. I realized that in such a small amount of time, our technology has become such a huge part of us that its hard to catch up if you ever lag behind.
I belive that teaching our students to learn the technology we have is going to be one of the best things we can do for them. MOst kids will already have a basic knowledge of how to run a computer or how to use cameras but we need to be able to give them the knowledge of how to learn with tha source they already have. If we can make i fun and exciting, there will be no limit as to what we can teach our students and continue to learn ourselves. Every minute something is being built into something else that is better and faster and in the world we live in now, that is going to be a childs biggest assest to have.I know that as a students, being able to type notes and essays is way faster than free ahdning it, which comes down to better notes all in all. I hope that I'm able to learn throught this class how to make my classroom ore interesting to my future students and teach them the things that they will need to know as students and children of this generation. The more they know, the more doors will be open to them.
